Returning player after a year

I saw a few new updates that looked cool about POTBS on MMORPG.com and decided to reactivate, and wow things have changed. My old servers gone, but thats probably a good thing as I need to start over. More likely than not my old characters are outdated and god knows I need to relearn.

I was surprised to see that pirates were now broken down into two classes...

Anyways, is there any place I can go to read up on the major changes? I dont need all the patch notes as I probably wont understand everything, just the main highlights since release last year.

Also... whats the difference between the two pirate classes now, and if one wanted to play a pirate, whats the most newbie friendly server for the pirate nation?
