Pirate trial and hanging (maybe), 25th August

I am inviting all of you to a trial and perhaps hanging to be conducted on Tuesday the 25th in Port Royal at 10 pm on the BlackBeard server.

This is not a staged event. Robert Culliford is the only (or at least best) RP pirate I have known in playing this game over two years. He would stalk slow merchant targets in the far off ports alone in a small fast ship, and was very good at it. He would spare some souls when they did as he commanded, and knew his role very well. He was hated and revered on our server for a long time. A bounty was placed on his head some months ago, and the British navy has been attempting to capture him alive since then.

He was finally caught last night and taken alive in boarding combat. He has agreed to stand trial for his crimes and face his punishment.

Mr. Roberts, I wanted to thank you, WIS, Culliford, and the rest of the crew for a very fine glimpse into what goes on in the RP portion of the game for those of us that are just playing the game for pvp and RvR.

You have hosted other events but I have been unable to attend. It becomes the primary focus of vent conversation on days like the hanging and has led to added respect and admiration for the folks that engage in this portion of the game.

We also ignore the folks in the game that (as of yet) do not have any appreciation for what you guys do.

Well done and thank you. I enjoyed it.

P.S. Did Culliford have a funeral? Did anyone attend? Did he have family? LOL. The ignorant now want a historical accounting.

Captain Culliford's body was taken by fellow Pyrates to Tortuga where it was buried at sea and will rest for eternity.

Culliford's son, Robert Jr vows revenge! He will hunt down every member of the West Indies Squadron and hang them from his main mast. The Governor of Jamaica will receive special treatment for his refusal to honor the King's Pardon.

Those British Scoundrels will regret they day they hung Captain Robert Culliford.
