Default Protecting weakest nation

As you notice, we have actually some problem on robert with brits nightlfipping dons and taking theirport when they can' be enought to defend them.
Anyway, this topic is not about nightflip

You all remember underdog bonus wich put many probleme on end of map.

What i propore today is a underdog during the map.
System would be easy. Fewer point your get, more difficult it is to flip lasts one ports.

If you get new port, you're underdog is going away. If you loose more, underdog uncrease. It will protect weakest nation ports to give it the time to rebuilt or at least not die.

The play to crush we see atm is killing the game...

Won't help much when they flip the ports unopposed anyway, will it?

Way back I proposed an idea where in addition to contention the nation with fewest points got +2 PB invites, 3rd place got +1, 2nd got -1 and 1st got -2. That would simulate concentration/spreading of forces (realistic) and help weak nations not lose their ports regardless of when the flip happened, as long as battles were filled. Unfortunately at this juncture I think it's too late as populations aren't high enough to ensure the battles would be filled.

this isn't such a bad idea, if the contention started to go up REAL slow once a nation got to something like 130ish points, it would put a real damper on flipping the port. it would help from kicking dead horses.

Are you referring to the WIS Sisal, Campeche and Tampico Flip?

Well you could get the standard Antigua Spanish response of recruit more people here. But realisticly if you dont have the population at certain times you are NOT going to stop a flip. A 24 Hour PB window would allow you to 'possibly' flip and take back the ports at different times when the same could be said of your opponents but lets face it thats boring and only the desperate resort to off hours flips against no opponents to win a map. The fun in the game for most people is to have the actual PB against opponents that fight back. Not to say that occasionally all nations wont flip a port when the opponent cant field a defense but the majority of players would prefer to have a fight in my experience.

Your solution for this problem is worse than the ill you seek to cure. Making it harder to flip ports results in fewer pbs and more incentive for those who flip to flip when there is no opposition than when there are people set to oppose them.
