EVE Online started from same level and with same graphic.Lets hope that there is future for PoTBS in age of WoW,Rift,Tera and million of wow clone games.Lets hope to see changes in PvP,Avcom and in last also graphic. Maybe even level cap increase, new territories, new nations and ofc more ships.. P.S.Sorry for my English,its not my mothers tongue..

Enjoy the game! Your golden age of POTBS starts right now, because you have just discovered this beautiful game. Time will pass, you will discover more, will get used to the good parts and will start noticing the bad parts, will maybe lose some good part in some patch and maybe you will become a sore old veteran one day. I believe Portalus can make this game a hit again.

The most important thing, believe it or not, is in my eyes to flush out the economy, i.e. the huge amounts of ship deeds and gear in everyone's possession. This is why for the migration, I would have preferred a wipe instead of a transfer.

Because this will make new players have much less of an impact on the game and its economy now.

The second priority is going to be revamping the graphics - especially open sea, but also many of the towns need a lot of love (ships and characters are pretty decent). They just look completely obsolete, almost like playstation 2 graphics.

I think they should start a kickstarter or other crowdfunding effort for the graphics revamp alone.

Newbies are always welcome to play, but they need to feel at home. I think us "veterans" will be nice to them, in general. Of course, farming the bahamas with a lowlevel twink will always be fun, even though we can beat the newbies with experience. But a decent veteran will at least only attack players of equal or greater "low" level. :-)

PS: One more thing: Remove the giant scorpion pets, please.

Amen to this. I would consider trying POTBS again if they just fixed the graphics some. I still love the gameplay etc. Especially the PVP. At least from the time I played it. Was 2 years ago now. I juped in like 1 or 2 times since then, but the graphics are so dated I just couldn´t give the game another go. I would even chip in for a kickstarter like was suggested here to make that happen. Either way. Gonna be interesting to read what Portalus can do with POTBS. Can´t be worse then what FLS did. That´s 4 sure...
