Default Ship colours

Hi guys quick one for you...

I've been customizing my ship with different colours, and the sails are np. But the hull colours has become problematic....All the variants of blue are green for some reason. I've tried all sorts of combos but no joy. Its not the graphics card because I can see all the blues on sails/clothes np.

Any help/advice on this would be appreciated.

It's because the open sea lighting is very yellow. Anything blue becomes green. If you go into an instance with "midday" sun, the colors should match closely to the pallete. I have no idea why they chose to make the open sea lighting so strongly colored, but it is impossible to match to the actual pallete.

If you want something that looks more blue on the open sea, add purple to the blue in an instance, although the right balance of purple does not exist to achieve that perfectly, so you will always have something on the open sea that is either slightly green or slightly purple. It is much less noticable if you use the darkest shades of color.
