Pirates of the Burning Sea Designer, David 'Taelorn' Hunt, has published a new Devlog titled: 1.2 Ship Tuning.
Taelorn outlines some of the changes that will be introduced with build 1.2, and you can read all about it by visiting this link. Enjoy, won't you? Aether |

Run Them Down seriously needs to be changed so that the skill is only applied to attackable targets. It gets really old getting hit by this on the OS outside of a red circle and not flagged.
Edit: Also any chance on getting some word about FT Recipe XP? |

A pretty exciting batch of changes overall. Glad to see some serious love being given to the Arcadia, Polacre & Cerberus (among others)
Was hoping for Mime Cannons though.

That's a subject for the skill tuning devlog, but it's something we plan to do as soon as we have the technical capability.

Will these changes effect vessels already in use by Captains or will they only to be found on new vessels?

What's the ETA for 1.2?
I've seen the talk about another 1.1.x patch before that, so can we get a hint about when all this goodness will rain down upon us? |

I'm glad to see that the large+ scout ships' speed is bugged. Being maneuverable without the speed to cover the extra distance such maneuvering requires just means that your target sails out of range easily while you turn circles and then can't catch up. It's fantastic to hear that the current state of affairs wasn't the developers' intent, yet kind of a conundrum to me how it took this long to catch the bug in the formula amongst all the proclaiming that it makes no sense and scout ships are the slowest in the game...
I'm really excited to hear about variant Postilionens, mastercraft Arcadia, and adjustments to upwind performance on the Cerberus and Raa -- changes that really increases the appeal of a whole slew of ships so that I won't feel kind of bummed that the best thing to sail as a privateer in the high 20's and low/mid 30's is a pig like the Stralsund! Adjustments to make some of the paper tigers in the scout class ships a little less papery also have me really excited, and open up some more ship options that I can look forward to... And finally, I'm absolutely salivating over the Athena and Minerva! Any chances you can slip us a little scrap of information on these, like gun weights? |

Should i massproduce Tritons and then as they become incredibly rare the market price will rise on them?
