Unhappy Getting booted from the game...

I am getting booted from the game really before I can even play it. the lagging is getting better but it continues to boot me off a few minutes in the game. I tried to reconnect and I received a message stating:

"Your computer cannot reach the server over UDP and is falling back to TCP instead. this will result in slower connection and more lag. Usually this means your router or firewall is blocking UDP traffic on ports 7010-7100. Please unblock those UDP ports and relaunch the game. If you still get this message please file a support request on our website."

The problem of this statement is I turned off my Firewall and am not using a router. I am directly connected to the modem.

Is there something I can do, or I am not doing corectly now?

Unhappy In referance to UDP Connection. please help me figure this out.

I am trting to fix the UDP connection to the server by creating this .ini file but am having trouble understanding on exatly what to do. can some translate a few things:

THIS IS THE HOW TO:
To create pirates_local.ini on Vista, you must follow the following steps. If you skip these steps, Vista will use virtualization to create the file in a folder the game cannot access.

Right click on a shortcut to notepad, select "Run As Administrator"
Input Administrative credentials. - WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO DO?
In Notepad, enter the settings you want to override - WHAT ARE THOSE SETTINGS? NOT SURE I EVEN KNOW?
Choose “Save As...” from the File menu
Navigate to your game folder, by default C:\Program Files\Flying Lab Software\Pirates of the Burning Sea
Select "All Files" from the filetype dropdown. (If you skip this step, it will create pirates_local.ini.txt. You don't want that.)
Type "pirates_local.ini" in the File Name box
Save

I'm surprised no one has answered you here; usually we're a bunch of busybodies <G>. Try reposting the question in the new user forum. I'd offer help, but I'm a technical moron.
