Question Auction House Pick-up Retrieve and Ship Hold : How to split ?

It is possible that players may buy items in a quantity such that their capacity may exceed their ship hold.

Therefore, when going to retrieve them, a player may find him/hersself stuck and not able to retrieve them.

Question is, since it IS possible to SPLIT items, how can items in the retrieve section of the Auction House waiting for pending pick-ups be split up in smaller amounts which would fit one's own ship hold and be retrieved in various trips ?

You can pickup items to your warehouse if you have one. This is the only way I know of right now to grab large volumes. Currently I dont belive its possible to Split stacks that are on the AH or pending pickup.

That would be a nice suggestion though. If the functionality isnt in I would file a /bug and suggest it siting this as the reason.

Well, since it does is possible to split stacks while in warehouse and in ship hold or personal inventory I don't see why it should not be possible to also split a stack pending for retrieve in the pick up section of the Auction House.

If I don't want to spend cash on a larger ship I should STILL be able to retrieve the goods I paid for in several trips by splitting them up.

I suspect the main problem is going to be its a different code set and may be very... risky to make changes to that section.

Either way, I would file a suggestion on it so they can add it as a work item.

If you are trying to pickup an item from the AH and you do not have enough cargo space in your ship it will split the stack for you.

It was a quote from Jaws...

Sigh.
