I had some registry issues happen today. So I reinstalled XP. Well its the orginal XP upgrade now I cant get to the MSFT update site as it just locks up the IE. So I cant download SP 1 or 2 which means I cant use any of the IE 7 Media 11 or even my sound chip on my board Soundmax chip says it doesnt recognize it. So that being said should I

1- get windows vista as I have 2 gigs ram 3.0ghz AMD with Nforce Asus MB and a Geforce 9800 GT vid card

2- Some other way to get SP 1 and 2 so my stuff works now

3- Buy a new version of XP that has SP 2 already on it for $99 at bestbuy

if Windows Update doesn't work, try downloading SP2 manually.
