Yep. I'll command an even force port battle against the Brits anytime. I think my command record is 5/6 so far in offence, with the only loss being the attack on Havana where the rearguard didn't quite do what they were meant to.

In ages past, the British fleet would sail right into their enemy because, in a ship-based melee, the British captains and crews were simply better than the enemy, and so would come out on top. In POTBS, the same applies to the Spanish when correctly commanded. The quality of our captains outweighs the quality of the brits', imo.

If I thought there was any way either of us would get 24 cutters into a battle (or even 24 anything) I'd happily do it.

That wasn't an idle comment, though. Every time I have commanded against the Brits, on both offense and defense, in all cases with either equal or lesser forces, the Spanish have won. Instead of making commentary about things that will never happen, command against me and beat my record, and prove that your captains outclass ours.

How about mission bombing ports? that is just as much a borderline tactic as Silly O'clock flips.

I have not lost a single PB against the spanish that we did not start being outnumbered. I take your 24 vs 24 any time we can get it to work.

Not taking anything away from your point. There were changes made. However that was after many weeks of antics and the far superior screams from other servers that are simply no match for the might of the Roberts faithful. I will say I did notice the rocket flip you gents did on Puerto Cabezas and I think we, meaning the Spainish and British Faction both know that your actions proved that the Eco-Bomb is still alive and well. We may not see the 10000K mega-bomb anymore but You can push it fairly over 6 close to 7k if you do it like your Fleet did it yesterday.

In the case of both ports a lot of the flip speed was thanks to the expanded points catchment area and some nice PvP kills. We put down a six man heavy group at Belize and took a SoL and a few evacuees at Puerto. Still took an hour or so at the very least, and there was plenty of time to counter these attacks. I'd say the balance is about right now, if you can afford the resources and bring the numbers you can do a port in a couple of hours (the thing most people don't consider is that the actual attack starts a good hour before the first contention point is even logged. Yes, you have. Let's not bother arguing over it since it will just be word vs word, but up until recently, we have been outnumbered in almost every post battle at which I was present. And outgunned in most cases, too.

I don't like it any more than you do, but the current 2.5 hours of grinding per port, IF you have the people available to blockade AND the unrest bundles to hand in, seems quite enough for me. It gives the defenders a lot of time to react, and means that with organisation you don't have to spend your whole night grinding PvE mobs just to get a single fight.
