Default Wow block 4 balance? GG

Yea so... i guess I have been made the ***** of the npcs now. Losing 4 balance on block means that against 6 crewmen (in pvp, other guy always uses attack target), i lose 24 balance instantly... next wave of hits and my balance is so low that its GG. So, everyone, welcome to getting your *** handed back to you buy a few normal crewmen yet again.

Thanks FLS for nerfing the **** out of florintine defensive.

Sounds like someone used the FOTM swashbuckling and is now regretting it.

Well before the fights were more about what the captains were doing, because with block, you woulden't take much damage from the normal crewmen. Now, its about the crewman zerg again. Good if you love watching your crewmen finish the fight for you, bad if you want captain vs captain action.

Is the 4 balance expenditure applied only to blocking, or does it count dodge and parry also?

Just block, it was a fix to an really bad exploit.

Block only I believe. At least that is what I gather from the patch release statement.

Myself, I use the Fencing school. I've not noticed a whole lot of difference in AvCom either in missions or in boarding. At least not thus far, anywho.

I am very very curious to see this in action before I pre-judge. Balance regens pretty quick after all. I think it is still viable, just less unbalanced. For instance, it might be possible to die sometimes.

Please don't play the theoryrant game, go try it first.

The 4 balance per block is killing Florentine right now. I'm boarding a level 17 ship in a mission and I am ending up with no balance within about 10 seconds of combat starting. In smaller engagements, 4 balance per block isn't that bad. When all 7 enemies agro on me at the start of a boarding engagement, my balance just disappears and I die. Frequently.

You could do what the other schools are forced to do.

Which is manage your aggro so you don't wind up with everyone attacking you.

This includes, not opening with a Iniboost+finishing move, not opening with a pistol, not running like a mad man well ahead of your crew, or use aggro debuff abilitys.


It is rare that I will wind up with more than 3 crew members on me at a time. Unless I'm in a PvP sequence and I get targeted. Even when I get 3 crew on me, I usually loose the 3rd add as he runs off to attack one of my crew.
