My suggestion would be the two ports for each nation that newbies get sent to on their economy quest. For Britain they are Bartica and Les Hattes. I don't know what they are for the other nations.
The problem is the bad placement of Cayo. If it is put into pvp it blocks the entire passage from Tampa to Grenville. Have the same effect as putting either of those into pvp (nebwies cant do their economy tutorial). It might even put grenville into pirate pvp. I've thought about this long and hard, but I can't find an acceptible solution, I was hoping someone else had one.

Nice of you guys to give Spain a nice little safe place to make iron :-)

England to you have a new player protected iron port? How about you France? How does that make you feel :-)

The only acceptible sollution I can think of is if the devs would remove the new players from the main part of the game and seperated them into a "newbie island" instance where they can learn the basics without worrying about Cayo PvP zones and what not. Then we can get on with the business of real warfare without having to worry about if we are stepping on the new players.

Here is a link on a suggestion I made:

Campeche and Sisal are the econ tutorial ports but so are the capitals, if you want to not put the first int he red you may as well leave the last alone. They also become, partially by default I think, the main trade hubs. Its not just newbies going to these ports and buying stuff its high level players and pvpers. These ports are hard enough to flip already, thats enough protection IMO.

Just pointing out the facts :-)

Just wondering if France and England are envious of Spains safe little new player iron ports. I know I would be :-)

Oh and did I mention they have sulfur and copper right down there in the new player area too :-)

Stupid idea - newbie ports already have limited protection against flipping. All ports are fair game, it's too late to turn back the tides of the damage already done. If FLS want newbies to be properly protected they only need to go and read the suggestions forums properly to find an answer - or do what they are paid to do and come up with an alternative.

The logistics of the game prevent it from being any realistic pact against newbie ports. In time you will all learn this, especially those who still think the map is close to being won by attacking the ports they are now.

I think most of us are jealous of Spains setup - good production in newb areas, and your main DWH located so that France won't attack it.

Then again, some of us remember when Leogane and FdF were France's only DWH's - although things are unbalanced now, they're at least not as silly as they once were.
