Default wow..that was special

well, I posted a few times, played a bit (way too many hours). Amazing how things have changed almost overnight.
The migration has made Antigua huge; I'm sure for the best in what the game vision is to be.
But, y'know, I finally gave up today. I'm a carebear not a ganker, I have decided, and cannot contribute to this game. Sorry guys, I tried, but at least FLS got the money from me and my wife for the game, so enjoy.
I really loved the idea of this game; it pains me to say how much I wanted to play this game. But honestly, tonight I hit the saturation point. The broken mechanics, rudeness, and overall feeling of exclusion from more people makes me relish the idea of going to work tomorrow.

Sorry all, and I wish Antigua, the Alliance, and all of Britannia success. Thanks for having me!

Sorry your leaving ... Not sure of any rudeness on the overall feel of Antigua but I could be wrong.

Good Wishes and sorry to see you go.

Perhaps you should consider rolling a different nation? The French are about as non-exclusionary as they come.

If you are willing to re-roll a different nation Spain or France would love to include you and your wife on any server I imagine. I have only been on Antigua a couple days but the Spanish nation seems very friendly.

If you have been on Antigua the whole time you could also try transferring to a different server without having to re-roll and see if you have a better experience.

Goodluck where ever you end up sailing!

I agreed with you back when I played britain too, I rerolled spain and love it here. I think CDC was british before too. Come to a different nation before you leave the game, it might reinvigorate you.

Friendly taunting or insults are fine, part of the fun is the banter. But rudeness for the sake of it is something so immature it really just highlights the idiots of the server.

Aye just re roll and let the children play with themselves, get bored and quit. You don't have to be British (whatever) you sail the same ships, do the same econ, quests and the like. And if you find the game concept fun, why not keep having fun with a side you get on with?

You have to get a tougher skin if you are ever going to play online games. There is no community anywhere that is rudeness free. I take that back the Amish aren't that rude.

Reginald...you can't leave...we just met...re-roll Spanish and I'll help you get leveled up with my main character...not my British Alt Dante Xavier Smith!!! Look for Raphael de Soto and I'll do everything I can to help out.

edit: Our Society is extremely friendly but we are a group of RP'ers...so expect IC banter.

Actually, I was a bit surprised at the amount of childish smack talk last night. My ignore list on Bonny was exactly 1 (other than gold spammers). When my Antigua ignore list got to over 10 in one hour I decided it was easier just to turn off area chat.

An alternative I considered was to respec and lose Diplomacy so at least I would only have to hear the French.

I would recommend reporting such to society leaders and the like so that things can be addressed. We had very little of this sort of thing on Guadeloupe. We were pretty lucky to have a rather mature population there.
