A few questions on new accounts and buddy keys

In short, i finally decided to start playing since one of my friends is coming too, but it seems it's a bit confusing, so i have a few questions:

1- According to him, somewhere in the box it says if you use a buddy key to get 14 days you won't get 30 days when you buy the game. Is this true?

2- Are there prepaid game cards? If there are, any idea if they are sold in Spain?

3- Is it possible to pay by bank transfer rather than a credit card?

Hello there!

1. Nope. You can use the 14 day trial and then buy the game from a retailer if you want the disks or buy the download from the Station store. If you are a new subscriber, you get 30 days free once you have the subscription set up. If you are a current user of the Sony Station Pass (which is all their games at one subscription price) then you do not get 30 days.

2. You should be able to buy the game cards where you bought the full game.

3. You can check Sony Station Store's billing FAQ for billing methods. I believe they take Global Collect and have different methods for Europeans.

4. The only difference between your beta install and the current install is that we've updated the game so there will be a lot of changes (bug fixes, added content and such).

When i bought the game i asked if they had game cards, and they didn't. The only information i've found on game cards is that you can buy them online from the sony store, which seems a bit pointless.

Is there a list of countries/stores/whatever who carry the cards somewhere?

One advantage is that game cards do NOT have the recurring billing that using your CC directly will. At the end of the month you get hit with another month's membership. If you buy a game card, when that game card runs out, you are done.

Also if you're in a position where you don't have a CC, a friend can buy game cards on line for you with their own CC on their own time, and then hand them over to you in exchange for your cash/ personal check. That way they're not giving you their CC number to have and to hold and to buy a bigscreen plasma with.
