Commendation of heroism

Hello, iam pretty new to this game so i have alot to learn yet

but at the moment iam wondering how u get commendations of heroism.. i currently have 6 but iam not sure if i got them from mission or grinded them.. if its by grinding.. is it any special ship`s lvl.. ect.. i get them from?

They used to give you an Myrmidon Mastercraft Frigate lvl 46. Since patch 1.3, they give you some repair consumables and some crap general items.

You get them from the exchange shop by going to your capitol and going to the naval office.

Errr... I think the OP is more wondering how he got the commendations in the first place.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you get commendations by claiming/scavenging derelicts after battle?

Not sure what ship lvls give the heroism ones though.

Yes, you get them by claiming derelicts. Higher level ships giver better commendations, but which one is random, based on loot tables.

Either you are Naval Officer or Privateer with Grease the Wheels.

Doesn't really matter which of the Pennants or Commendations rewards you obtain from a Derlict ship.
I found it depends on the comparitive "level" of the ship.

Diligence or small pennants are from like under level 10 "small" hull ships and then Courage or medium pennants are from "medium" hull ships on up to the prized Royal Encomiums from the level 50's.

Checking the list on PotBS Wikia above, they are like the 9th tier so if you find another again, note the level of the ship, not the Captain sailing it and chances are farming around that level, even in a Mission, would give you the best chance to find more of them.
