So the pirate skill of "Too Mean To Die" is ok, but the national version is a cheat?

Well...the difference between the two is this:

Too Mean to Die:

1. They have to spend captain points to get it
2. It avoids all damage, to include sail/mast armor and cannon loss/damage

Final Defense:

1. Free skill given to all NOs after completing the L20 NO quest
2. Same 30 min reuse timer
3. Only prohibits the ship from sinking. Ship takes normal damage but will not sink until it wears off.

So, as you can see, the Pirate version is much more powerful. A pirate can pop the skill and avoid taking any damage while charging a group of ships...or use it as a boarding aid by allowing him ample time to push the enemy ship around while sustaining no damage.

But, this improved skill comes at the cost of skill points. So, in my opinion, it's a fair tradeoff.
