FFAF tournament - 11.05.2008

I'm am proud to announce the first FFAF (free for all french) tournament of Potbs.

It will take place on Sunday the 11th of May and is only intended for French players only.

The general goal of this tournament is to improve our nations ship fighting skills, and of course, to generate a lot of fun for the participants.
As you all might know, if you take part in a duel you will not loose any durability on your ship, you will only "loose" what you use in combat, such as ammonution, repait kits, etc .
But you also gain nothing from it.
To make it even more fun, there will be prizes for the winner, as I dont have a money tree to sponsor the prices, there will be a small fee for participatin in the tournament.

Rules :
Starting Fee will be 5.000 Dubloons, you can take part with as many characters as you like, but you have to pay the Fee for each character and indicate which character belongs to the same player.
Every fight will have a maximum duration of 20 minutes. If after this timespan there is no winner, both participants will loose. The "final" battles will have a longer timespan.
If a player disconnects during a fight, the fight is rescheduled once 15 minutes later.
If one participant does not show up the other will win.
If there is an uneven number of participants in one round, one participant will be randomly selected to move on to the next level.
You may use any outfittings, ammonution, consumables, repair kits, skills you have available. There will be about 15 minutes breaks between the fights.
All ships except the following are allowed : any 3rd/2n/1st Rate SoL, Heavy/Sleek/MC variants of Hercules, Couronne (maybe we can do another tournament just for these ships)
Every player is accepted whichever level he may have, but for now I would advise any players below 40 not to take part.

Prizes :
1st place will receive 45% of the accumulated starting fees
2nd place will receive 30.0% of the accumulated starting fees
3rd place will receive 15.0% of the accumulated starting fees
4th place will receive 5.0% of the accumulated starting fees.

The rest of the money will be saved for the next tournament as an extra prize, or will be randomly given to a participant.

Registrations have to be carried out ingame, you can contact Salle La Rey, Leon Ferrand or Barbara Dornee, if you want to participate you have to give the starting fee, to a character I will create purely for this purpose.
Registrations are accepted until Saturday 23:59 CET. Additionally you have to declare with what ship you are intending to take part.
