All-

Due to changes in server populations, British Society leaders wish to communicate with other British Society leaders. As such, please send an in-game mail to Jerrard Stuart with your leader's contact information to coordinate communication amongst the societies on the Antigua server playing on the British side.

We will be having a town hall meeting this Friday, May 9 at 10pm CDT. (Central daylight time.) Leaders only please.

For German and other EU players, please suggest a convenient time on your Saturday or post a reply here.

I am merely acting as facilitator to this communication. If your society is planning on staying, please be in attendance in the British Vent server to discuss what to do moving forward. Feel free to contact me with further questions.

Thanks,

Jerrard Stuart

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't we already have this here?

We tried it recently Xy but some people found a "council" to be too complicated

I guess they'd rather keep going their own separate ways and not wanting to give up their "standing" to form a team and wondering why the Brits keep getting beat

We're going to bring up why all the frenchies are whining about us using packetboats, minervas and mediators and why that makes them look sad.

1 hour of gold farming pays for a weeks PVP

we sink lots of ships from all nations

the Hermes has a large hold for loot

most ships we attack solo cannot be considered a gank, so our opponents always have a chance of fending us off if they play their cards right. you would be surprised how many tells i have had saying how much fun they have had trying to fend off my 16 gun ship.

its a challenge to take on big ships on your own in a level 19 -21 ship, i had a great battle the other day where i beat a lvl 43 NO in a defiant ( French btw ) in a battle lasting 25mins where i finally got the board and won. its not easy and 90% of the time i attack a huge ship solo i have to retreat but when you do win its certainly a rush.

most times of the day its hard to put a group of 6 players together for PVP so it makes sense to go in a fast ship so that you can get away from ganks.

as i play this game for the role play aspect, historically privateers and pirates used small ships such as brigs and sloops as i do. ( ok i made that one up but it could be a valid point for some people)

its a game and i play it as i wish to do so, my NO has many big ships but i just don't have as much fun using them.

on a final note i can't be bothered with 40% tax on big ships.

I can understand a fiew pple every once in a while or a fiew all the time but... Every brit ive seen in the past 2 weeks excluding portbattles has been in small ships. Do Brits even fight 6vs6 anymore?

Just a suggestion,

If you can't get them all seeing it your way then why not try it they're way?
Simply divide up the carribean into patrol areas like the brit navy would have done. Let the societies give a try at defending/conquering they're area. You have the population and can actually do multiple tasks at the same time. Its the Brit strength.

Anyway, if it works then it works.
If it doesn't work, then those that fail will become believers in a more team oriented concept and then you can build your structured system with they're blessings.
So either way you can't lose as long as your not fighting each other. Just keep the lines of communications open so when the call for help does come up that it can be answered.
