The best way to board a bus is to wait until it stops and the driver is opening the doors.

All depends, though I find crossing a ships T or forcing her into irons to be the most effective.

Otherwise I'll use disabling shot on one broadside while using heavy shot on the other to deal with any escorts.

Size your plywood to the window opening prior to nailing.

Nail in the top corners first, make sure you're going into the wood around your rough opening and not in your window itself. If you break one while boarding, you've really failed.

Be sure to select a size long enough to penetrate the ply and give a secure fastening to the base, but not so long you break the sill when removing the board.

Finally Nail the bottom and sides, use as many nails as you need, but make sure you have enough to do any other windows.

The best way I could think of to board:

Fast Frigate, with 2 decks of guns.
Sail Outfittings: Tough Sails, Speed Rig
Gun Outfittings: Grappling Cannons
Hull Outfittings: Streamlined Hull
General Outfittings: Grapples and Ladders, and other Grappling stuff.

Load can or grape in on battery, load bar, chain, or star in the other battery.

Cross someone's bow, open fire, board.

You can only have 1 type of grappling equip and I think the best one would be Steam Launched Boarding platforms
