High price for boats and winner take all system seem obvious, but are they really good for the game ?
It's pretty logical when you are not experienced in PVP you will lose boats more often, you will lose tons of money, which prevent you to buy decent ships and gaining more experience. At the same time opti groups of exerienced players will gain more and more money and lose only a few. It's a vicious circle, that's why at the begining broke players started to play with cutters. Something is wrong with this system, ok it's ok to reward the winner and the looser really loose something, but if it prevents weaker side to gain experience and have a chance to play the game properly, something has to be fixed. Lots of players complain about there is only a few guys (always the same ?) playing Heavy 6 vs 6 in open sea. Why ? Cause guys who lost last time are obliged to farm like Koreans to buy new boats who can match their opponents (that's actually where they are when you look for them in PVP area) and those who get their new boats don't feel like loosing it in ten minutes on a bad move. This system lowers PVP activity, which is not I guess, what most people wish. Sux ! |

Hi Nicolas,
Have you tried out the skirmish system? If it's only experience you're looking for, go get it there. You don't lose your vessel and you can try out new tactics. When you feel ready, then you can always set out into the red and try them out in a real battle!

Hmm... unless I have completely misunderstood what is meant by the skirmish system, then yes, it is already in the game! Why, just the other night I tried it out with a friend of mine.
Personally, I thought it detracted from the 'realism' of the game, ships sinking even more often and all that, but I certainly won't hijack this thread and being perfectly aware of how my opinion is scarcely shared with other players, I'll shut up. ![]() But, as I say, Nicolas, do try out the skirmishing if it's experience you're after!

Perhaps 'ship duel' and 'skirmish' aren't quite the same thing... I'll shut up.

And about next skirmish system which will allow group battles, will be a good training, but I'm not sure it will improve Open PVP activity .... Why risk money when you can have free fights ? I'm not saying this is the way I think, but it's probable some players won't feel like taking any risks with this system. |

perhaps but FLS will not rebuilt the economy/crafting system and they can't give to nationals a money/loot bonus higher than the actual one. Any others idea?
