Well, I never say no to a Guiness or Kilkenny, Erdinger Dark Wheat is fine too.

If it is extremely hot outside, I might switch over to a Budweiser (the Czech one), "Delirium Tremens" is good as well. Ah heck, there are just to many good beers around the globe, time to wade trough the market once again. Advantage of having a beer shop on the way home that holds like 250 different beers from all over the world. Only region I have found that does produce to much of rather disgusting beer is France...

OMG what a bunch of beotians ... There is no better beer than Belgian Beer

This is the finest you will ever find. And I'm not Belgian so it's not some national pride that makes me say that.

Like France is the country of wine and cheese, Belgium is the country of Beer. They have something like 680 different ones. As I can't choose, there is the list

Whch one do you know ? Because there is a plenty of local brewers in the north of France who produce some real good ales. If you make your opinion on Kronenbourg 6 pack you bought at the gas station, refrain from giving such advices.

But I admit this is not a French speciality, my fav French beer is Goudale, have a try if you can find it. Maybe difficult outside France. I refund you, if you don't like it lol

Something must be very wrong with a game where you find a 3 pages long thread about what people drink for PBS... Should we start a thread on how players dress as well?

Great list, some I know, others I do not know at all but might also be hard to come by. Anyway, time to test some new ones.

Actually, I think I have never tried Kronenbourg. I will have to go look for the names of the ones I have tried. I remember trying one with the aftertaste of port wine. I say that was definately too much, but I can't remember the name. Will check the next time I am in that store whether they still have it. Should come all back when I see the bottles. In general, I simply had much more "nasty" experiences when trying out French beers than with other countries. However, this might be due to the fact that some of them were more special than what I was able to get from other countries. So the bad impression is certainly partly due to more true "experiments" and that I did not really find one beer that would have had a lasting impact in the positive aspect.

And in regard to the local brewers, that will most likely be so. But then, you will not get many of them outside of the area. I will definately give the one you have linked a try if I come across it. In fact, I want one of those now. Its warm and sticky outside and a cold beer would be most welcome right now. Pity I still have some hours left at work.

As I'm not a beer-bear, I prefer a chilled White Wine when PB begins (only in the evening of course. Sparkling Water and Cappuchino are my choice in the afternoon). In winter I would go for a well tempered Barolo or a french Bordeaux, served with some Camembert and olives.

Only when summer is really very hot, I might also go for a cold bavarian Erdinger "Hefeweizen".

Raise your glasses, gentlemen. To the king!

I hate you ! Here, in West of France, it's raining and temperature is something like 14° celsius.

If the summer looks like that, as it did last year, I'm gonna shoot myself.

La Goudale is a fine beer indeed, completely agree with you on the belgian beers as well Nicolas.

I also enjoy india pale ales every now and then and have to say they are really nice. Oh and i must not forget to mention Caol Ila 18 year old single malt as well

I also enjoy a good Paulaner Hefeweizen. I should have mentioned that, but it's been a rarity here lately.

Not allowed to drink if you're carrying a firearm.
