Stopping time is easy. In fact, I just did it twice while you were reading that last sentence. Of course you had no of noticing since time was stopped.

Prove that I didn't.

For myself, I will not make the first PB tonight but will definitely make the second. I will show up in my best boat as always, even if that means losing 1 dura on it.

Recent low attendence by France may just be a cycle and not a sign of imminent collapse.

I know that for myself and some others in our society we see it as a cycle thing. I believe the reason we didn't see Spain last map was because they were building their fleet. After Spain brought thier SoLs to the 1st PSJ battle, a some of us realized that we, France, didn't have enough big ships or the proper character alts to command them. I've decided not to actively seek getting into a PB until I have a ship with at least 12 16 lbrs per broadside (not that I won't be ready to take an invite if I have contention there). I do not want to be out-ranged by 150 yds again, I'd at least like to be able to fire at the enemy SoL before I'm sunk.....

If you look at the game mechanics, there is the rush to 50, then the slow grind to build enough econ to support a true SoL. Right now, I know several players building up alts to either generate the Econ or have the levels to command SoLs. This is going to take time, and just looking to our society's size, I estimate it would take us 2-3 months to generate enough surplus to construct a single SoL for one of our members. To put it in perspective, a 6 man group, playing 8 hours a day, would each need to grind a net 116 Db per minute of playtime for 30 days to afford the 10M Db cost of a single 1st rate.

It may take a while, but we will get there.
