Default Player Housing

I think player housing would add alot of fun ( for myself ) to the game for social activities as well as a sence of achivement ect i liked the player housing in Star Wars Galaxies and think if we could get somthing like that in here would be awsome

SWG housing is king! I believe the devs have said that "player owned spaces" are in their future plans, but more like being able to decorate and invite people into your ship's cabin or something like that.

I was thinking player owned coves and hideouts. Would be great to have a harbor hideout made from a large cave in a cliff

the housing wont be like SWG in the way of being bale to place the house where you want because this game is all instanced and the only land we can go on is ports ans instanced missions but if we can have instanced housing that would be enof i guess

Instanced housing would be a boon to this game, it would allow for all kinds of things in game, crafting of furniture, looting of things for your house, etc

Also (to add to what has been mentioned) a guild house of some kind (okay, society house but you get my point) would give more functionality to societies, something other than just a group of players with their own chat room.

SWG just didn't have a clue what they were doing with housing. Sure it was nice to set up a house and decorate it but by letting people have such freedom they ruined the planets and made them look ugly. Specifically Tattooine. EQ2 has instanced housing much like the house missions are currently in PotBS and I think that is the best way to go with player housing. Why? Because it creates no mess in the environment and there will always be people in that are. Unless of course you are in a really far away port. Which some people will like due to its seclusion and secrecy.

SWG had great player housing, the only problem was that houses didnt dissapear anymore after a certain patch, when you didnt pay maintenance anymore.

But random placing of houses isnt possible in PotBS anyway, and the devs have mentioned ship cabin access with decoration options, and also player and guildhousing. Just no ETA, but they are thinking about it
