I agree with you rdogg. Hopefully the free trials wouldnt go in effect though untill the gilches and servers are fixed :P
But ya with the dead period in WoW right now while people are waiting for the expansion a free trial would sky rocket the sales. WoW gamers arent going to give up their game easily because they arent even looking for a new game to get involved with. So a free trial I am sure is the only way you will pull most of those die hard players. Myself for example I am using the buddy key to play and will defintly buy this game because it shows alot of promise and I am just so sick of wow I need a good break till possibly the expansion. But if I didn't get this buddy key more than likly I would be playing wow right now. Goodbye wow |

personally i love the game and its awesome
but 50 dollars is a steep price to pay for someone to find out that they don't like the game...even if they get a "free" 30 days ... i've been there |

Free trial is a must nowdays. I saw the link on Gamespot and thought this would be a great game to try. Came here and found no trial/demo so now I'll probably pass on it until it gets worked out. You must remember the people here asking for trials are interested. We've signed up for the forum and have taken the time to post.
Also, this is NOT because I'm cheap or a casual gamer. The issue here is there are so many good games out that I must make decisions on what I want to buy. Just in the last few months I've purchased Mass Effect, BioShock, Rock Band, Witcher, Tabula Rosa, Supreme Commander - Forged Alliance, Crysis, and Assassians Creed. I've been a WOW subscriber since 3 months from launch. Personally now I'll just wait for more reviews from like Gamespot. From what it is looking like so far the critics scores are not giving it 9+ reviews and so without a trial... On IGN it's showing average critic score of 6.8... This is why a trial is important. I tried TR and even though it didn't get the best scores with reviewers I liked the game and decided to buy it. I agree completely about the gold part.. that is simple, just don't allow the trial players to trade gold or goods. |

Could I just say that as an aussie, I can not buy a hard copy of the game and do not have my own credit card so buying from d2d is a real hassle for me. In my case a 14 day trial would be a great incentive to organise purchasing the game over the net whereas if i wait for the game to be released here I will be less inclined to play because it will coincide with the release of some of the other new mmorpgs.
That being said if anyone has a spare buddy key Id be much obliged as I have been wanting to play this game since I was accepted to late beta but was unable to participate due to moving house and a subsequent outage of internet connection. (sorry for that fragmented sentence but it's late here) oops my email is ryan1285@tpg.com.au Also apologies if this request offends anyone or is against forum rules |

no tradeing on a trial account means nothing. You spam they reply you get your payed for account to trade money off. the only way to really use trial accounts is to only allow them on one server and to bad for the people on thatone server but your in spam hell. other then that at this point in the industry its a loseing propisition to have trial accounts if your trying to curb the gold sellers.
