Gentlemen at Flying Labs,
I have no idea how to change the way FLS thinks so I am starting to look for help on the Forums and elsewhere. The Facts. 1. I lost all my best items (which obviously I carry on my ship because putting them in a far away port would require a dangerous and slow journey just to get them or to make a pit stop). The game crashed on me and the items were zapped from my inventory. Obviously the logs show this otherwise FLS would have closed this case. 2. FLS has decided to make me wait many days whilst they research the issue. I'm not able to play the game properly now as it it like playing a MMO without armor. Guess who gets killed instantly. Again this is not my fault that the game has a bug and I want to know why I'm being compromised. Below is an extract of the latest ticket I filed which shows FLS continuing to behave in the same manner that they have previously done so. (We know you are compromised but guess what.. you are going to continue to be compromised whilst we look at our bugs.). Response ticket contents. Ticket 081118-000023 To the the people who work at Flying Labs Software, We are now going into the third day where I have no ability to play Potbs like it is meant to be played. I log on just to do econ hoping that possibly you people would be gracious enough to fix my problem. I am told to be patient but I don't understand why some consideration is not given to me. After all I want to play this game and cannot play it the way I was playing it before. Perhaps you should try playing against other players with no items. I can assure you it's not fun and you would stop playing with in a few minutes. I can understand if you don't have enough people to take care of customer support or if you can't figure why I lost my items and are trying to work understanding why the game software did what it did. BUT that does not help me from having a bad experience on Potbs. Its not my fault and I don't understand why I am being stopped from playing the game for a prolonged period of time. All I can do to try get some help is to post my grievances and to try and bring attention to what I feel is a potentially major problem for game play. I am hoping that you who have the power decide to respond more definatively to me and actually help me get back to playing the game. |

To start with you are not the first person who has lost everything or near everything to a problem.
I had my account hacked by who I thought was a good friend, they had records showing my account was accessed things moved to his account and then my characters deleted. They never reimbursed me as it against their policy to do that ( has been very well stated and posted since Day 1 ) what they did was tell me who took it and after a few weeks undeleted my stripped character minus all items that were tradeable , but it took many posts of me begging to them in the support area ( this is not the place to air problems as it will only slow things down ). And there are many others who lost their last ship and everything on it due to a Disconnect and no matter what you think it is not FLS issues, if you get any of the trace route programs out there and run it ( I use Trace route been using it over 15 years ) they will show you all the jumps and stops from your machine to PoTBS, and most Disconnects are a bad hop that you have no control over. In the beginning many people would disconnect on purpose when they were losing a battle against NPC's or trying to run thru the Red bubble and got attacked, by either rebooting or any of the means to shut down PotBS. The they would file claims asking for reimbursement , well FLS was wise to that so the policy is no refunds. I know it is posted somewhere but I am to lazy and tired to look for it.
