Bold move. But I like it.

Questions:
1. Will you still be able to claim ships in missions? (Claim Prize/Scavenge)
2. Will this change be followed by fixes to the OS "grinding"? For example the difference in rewards between Pirate and National fleets. Or enabling more ships to be "claimed" (almost no ships in 12 fleets are valid).
3. Do you have a prediction on how this will affect the whole journey from lvl 1 to 50? You get your consumables almost exclusively through mission drops while leveling. Also the mission rewards giving general outfittings are very sparse at low levels and certain mission areas. Will you be adding more item rewards to missions to compensate for this?
4. Since you put heavy emphasis on choosing/switching factions, will you add more possibilities to do this? Like switching between the Inquisition and the Knights Templar. More ways to gain reputation with the various trade companies (missions, MoT-trades etc).

If they had just halved the number of ships in the JOMT instance they could have achieved everything that they are trying to do here. The only reason JOMT works as a grind mission is that there's so much to sink. Alternatively, make the reward for completing it some fitting that would become essential for the Captain who absolutely, positively has to sink the opposition every time. How does reducing the rewards for completing all missions make doing them more rewarding? All this will do is force players onto the OS (not a bad thing in itself), but they will go onto the OS to grind the fleets of the nation with the most fleets out, the one with the underdog bonus. I fear this is another FLS poorly thought out band-aid on an arterial bleeder, and they can't have much more blood left to lose.

You do realize that people do Just One More Thing (not knowing what you named your own mission doesn't add much to credibility) because currently the ability to gain experience points from levels 1 to 30 is not worth the insane amount of time and effort it takes. If you are removing loot drops, people will still do that mission. They do it because they want to level their lower levels to 50 since this game has no other reasonable way to do it and this game requires you to be 50. Contrary to your belief that it is called Just One More Time and people mindlessly grind it for loot, they really do it for the experience.

You cannot PvP effectively at all without being 50, you cannot go to Port Battles with good ships without being 50, you cannot haul large quantities until you're 50. You must be 50 to do this game. That is the core of the problem, not some mission players are doing that apparently gets under your nerves. Let them do it. Keep the loot from pre levels.

FLS, please, concentrate on the real problem of the game: make low levels more viable in the game or look to drastically increase experience rates across the board. It is basically punishment having to do mindlessly grind a bunch of stupid missions to get to 50 so I can enjoy the game. To top that off, I have never learned anything about the game from doing them anyways. That's the real reason people do JOMT to get higher levels in the first place.

I see it as a way to stop level 50's from Grinding JOMT,, but I also see it as a negative factor in low level Newbie's just starting the game, I know that the loot drops from Missions are what most prelevel 30's use to buy ships and outfittings and Econ lots. You take Loot drops away from ALL missions and it will make new players quit and future players not try the game knowing they will be doing missions for xp but not getting loot items to sell for money to buy upgrades, true you will get some money from doing the missions but it is always nice to get an upgrade as you level up, now they won't be getting anything to sell, not even the common Loot items.

Wouldn't it be better to take away loot from missions where people repeat, as even after you hit 50 and continue doing missions it is nice to have loot items to sell and sometimes get a recipe book or outftting you can pass to other society mates. Taking away Loot drops from all Missions is a bad thing if you ask my opinion. I have never done JOMT but like and have done almost all missions strings in the game, taking away all Loot drops is something that might make me and some others think about not resubing. I enjoy fleets but am bad at PvP and like the missions stings, it is something to do when I can't find a group at my odd playing hours. If there were no loot drops I doubt if I would have bothered doing the Supernatural, Grand Turk or Dread Saint mission lines on any of my characters as it is a lot of sinking of ships for nothing now,, I see it as a way of making people stop doing missions and start hitting Fleets in small away spots on the map as not to get slammed by others looking for easy targets.

I dotn know about you guys but as an FT, I grind JOMT for Royals. Its by far the most efficient way of getting them imo.
