It's an MMO like move. Whatever happened to the dev with the shooter mentality that's been running this game since 1.4 ?

It's great to see a change that actually says FLS respects their mission writing and that missions are more than just a means of cramming the most money for the least amount of effort into player's hands.

LOL. In JOMT, people can make as much money in the same amount of time as the Orleans dailies, but they can continue to do them. This mission has put untold millions of doubloons into the game ... this change is major, not negligible.

However, I can see that there isn't much concern over this, so whatever. As I stated before, I've never even ran JOMT ... but I sure as hell know a lot of folks that do.

If you thought the AH was stagnant now, just wait until this is implemented.

p.s. This will not affect me directly, I'm simply arguing against it for the over all health of the game. Check that, it probably will affect me as the population losses of veteran players/friends will most likely accelerate. Oh well, charge ahead. <shrug>

p.p.s. Good luck living off those mov/mot sales, you do realize every db in this game comes from missions/npc kills?

You still have a chance to get some basic supplies, but you'll no longer get Junk Loot, high end items, or large sums of money. It won't greatly affect leveling players. What this changes is the much larger amount of reward you get for playing missions like JOMT on Admiral.

Why not hold off on the change to mission drops until you have time to implement these needed changes? Waiting for months for a fix to a fix is how PotBS got into its hole in the first place.

I haven't done JOMT in a long time. When I did it felt like I died a little bit inside every hour I spent doing it. In a small act of rebellion I deliberately handed the mission in, (I told my econ leader 'whoops accidentally handed it in, oh noes.') and never looked back. So from me,

I think FLS is doing there best to kill the game off so they can move on to new projects,

As Lum Stated, " you'll no longer get Junk Loot, high end items, or large sums of money ", will kill it for all the people who do Econ,, Yeah the PvP people are going to be happy but as the ship builders and other Econ makers slowly leave the game people not in Bigger Societies will have to pay triple price in the AH for items.

Good change to help get people out of missions. Now if you could get rid of other dailys and boost open sea loot to get people on the freaking sea and off the docks...

Wrong, Sure as as a player leveling an alt it is easy, since you get ships and dblns and whatever you need even Powerleveling from your Society or Friends.

But as a new player with no Society to help you with Ships and other items it isn't that easy.. If you don't believe me create a character on a server where you don't know anyone, and make it a faction where you don't know the mission lines or what ports hole what and then play 3 to 4 hours a day ( normal play time for someone with a Job without computer access, a family, etc. ) also delete any loot items you get ( since you won't be getting any in the future ) and see how long it takes you to hit 50. Play it nonsociety as most don't join one and alot of Societies don't trust new players with all the spies ( people playing multiple accounts just to listen to nation chat other then their mains ) in the game.

I run the dailies and believe me they get old,JOMT is a mission the econ players use to make money.But I have no problem nerfing the missions if u boost OS drops.I mean without any loot drops in missions why the heck run them for a title or some useless item that there are 100's of items better wooooo.I FLS goes ahead with nerfing ALL mission drops and do not boost OS drops signifiantly then there goes my subscription because i only have 3-4 hours a day to play and I hate the dailies and them missions I do grind I have completed them on alts so I know how the chain ends.If u want ppl to play these mission u respect so much u better have loot in them or go ahead and drive the knife all the way in the heart of POTBS by pulling the plug cause it will die after this.I mean 8 packs of naval fleets on good for flipping ports cause loot drops suck and it hard to get a 12 pack because you can not find enough ppl on to help sink it quick enough to get the good drops or the OS full of ppl hitting them and there are none left.Please don't kill this game FLS think it through sll the way before u make a major change like this.
