Default Very disappointed with Sony Support...

Did you know that Sony support is worthless?

For over a week I have been trying to renew the subscription on my 2 accounts and use 30 free days that was queued up to be added to my account #1.

The story so far has gone about like this.


Sony support? I need to renew my subscription on my 2 accounts but your payment service wont let you.

There is something wrong with your credit card, check with your bank.


Sony support? My bank says my credit card is ok and it worked fine subscribing a month ago.

"Errand closed."


Sony Support. Can you please reopen this errand. The sub of my account #1 ran out and then I could restart the subscription but prolonging it never worked. Btw I never got my free month for the second month in a row. Account #2 can still not be prolonged but maybe I can resub once it runs out.

“According to us your account #2 already has received its free month."


Sony Support? Its account #1 that should have received its free month already, not account #2 which you can read in my previous message. Account #2’s subscription has now run out and I can not restart it unlike account #1.

“There is something wrong with your credit card, check with your bank.”


Sony Support? Ok, please, please, please read carefully. The Credit card works fine for account #1 then it should work for account #2 as well right???

“One of your accounts is listed in Sweden and the other in the US, maybe that’s what’s wrong with the subscription issue? Your account #1 has already had its free month added in January 2008.”


Sony support? The free month I am referring to was to be added before I had to renew my accounts subscription THIS month, not the starter month when I purchased the original game. It disappeared when I could not prolong the subscription but had to renew it after it elapsed.

"I have added the free month you are entitled to to account # 1Please do not do this again!” (No free month was added as far as I can tell)"


Could you please change both my accounts to Sweden and maybe that will take care of the issue.

No response for 2 days…


Today I found that the payment currency of both accounts had been changed without me asking for it and that I finally could resub on account #2 again. No free month has been added to account #1. No message has been sent to me regarding the situation.

Do these guys try to frustrate you into quite playing the game and stop paying FLS money or what is the issue? Do they misinterpret the info you send them on purpose? This has taken me more effort and frustration than any game is worth.

I’m extremely disappointed with the treatment I have received from Sony.

In all truth, it's best to contact our support regarding any and all issues, as we have a more direct route to SOE staff than players.

If, however, you need to contact SOE support, then the best option is to use their live chat service.

There are two tricks I know with Sony Support:
  1. Ask for escalation to a higher priority. Higher priority levels have more experienced techs, and you will get better answers.
  2. File a ticket about it on our support site. We will have to forward it to Sony, but it will automatically be escalated to their second tier, and so the more experienced techs will look at it.

They're probably translating your ticket with google language tools and reading the "solution" from a flow chart.
