Incorrectly flagging people as a traitor

There is currently a number of people flagging others as traitors due to grudges or other reasons beyond those intended by the devs.

Even though the reputation can be recovered easily enough by grinding the act of flagging is causing bad blood between players and is pushing people away from the game.

Can a dev please confirm that people flagging others incorrectly will be punished for harassment and tell us the process they are using to check these flags.

i thought that was the idea of the system, people say its only for when one breaks te rules, well no, we have tickets for that.
Flagging can be done by any and all, one flag doesnt mather much, when the whole nation starts to flag you, you will feel it.
People cry about one flag, who cares. im flagging everyone that i know of as a crossteamer or unbenificial to pirate nation, cus i think those are the traitors, i think that was the idea of the system.
When im alone in that viewpoint, nothing bad will happen, he wont get enough flags, but when the rest agrees with me, hopefully that player will have a problem

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that. People can and do flag others for reasons such as 'I don't like your society'. They then get everyone in their society to flag that person. Wars then start with all of society A flagging all of society B and the end result is people leave the server or leave the game.

The system is IMO being abused or at best overused at present. There needs to be a penalty for improper use at least equal to the penalty given by the flag. Otherwise everyone will flag everyone else and it will drive away new players and damage server populations.

I got flagged for not letting other people gank my 1v1.

I dont see how this system will work, the penalty is much to small and easy to overcome, on the other hand its much to easy to flag someone for incorrect reasons.
i dont think the devs have time or should take time to look through every flagging incident.

On roberts we now have some obvious traitors like el agnatak and easy mode and the likes, well see if the system works over the next few weeks....
Ill be calling for mass flagging atleast
