video card?

ok im having a problem launching the game now. everytime i do my screen just goes black, and the monitors light blinks like the pc isnt on, except the computer is on still...

im assuming my video card is going?? ive also had this happen once or twice not playing the game. before i go out and spend a few hundred bucks buying a new video card i thought i would ask what the rest of yall think might be the problem.

also, any recomendations on wich video card to get if that is my problem?

Is there another PC you can try the video card in?
That will quickly confirm if its stuffed.
