Well the defiant MC is a brick. The mercy is like a greased up larger brick.

But yes, they are rather brick like. Kerries wouldn't mind at all of a raa or disco's maneuver stat block got moved into teh mercy's by accident >.>

Well yeah but it's not nearly as mild as the mc cap -> intrepid is.

Just make the refits and large SoL's questable and no drop. Similar to the Algiers. Except its a repeatable epic quest. The more powerful the quest, the longer the epic quest will be. Then remove invalid flag and make capturing a epic quest ship give you the vanilla version.

Dropping the amount of spare dubs out there to make vanilla ships more viable could work but its a very long-term solution if it works (6months minimum is my guess).

To make players truly question (in a short amount of time) whether its still worth the price & lsbs to go for the best ships available fls needed to drop the dura on refit deeds as well, which on most would reduce it to a 1 dura deed.

Whether its the right thing to do or whether the player base would wear that I have no clue

Though I agree with the OP pretty much. I loved it when pvp was a bunch of cap mc's/tigre's/raa's and was something other than HMC zergfests. POTBS original answer was not to fix the problem, but compound it by making the macedon.

Pvp was best when vanilla boat pvp was big, or even medium refits like the inteprid.

I just say remove all insurance on anything requiring an LSB. Even the blacksheepdupe fleet (jk!) will evaporate soon enough under such circumstances.
