Default Come big or go home.

OK enough is enough. Is this release software or very advanced beta? I'm happy to weather the storms of balancing issues but basic buggy software that costs me time and enjoyment is not that attractive. I'm happy to pay for the former and test the latter, but doing both leaves a sour taste in my mouth.
Sincerely,
Cranky Jeem

I laughed at your title. I was going to say something about coming big and something else about that sour taste.

Welcome to new software.
This might be the first piece of new software you have used [as opposed to software thats been around for a while].
so with that in mind, all software has bugs, the more complex the more bugs will likely crop up over time.

look at Windows vista, it also took atleast 5 years to make and it cost 5 billion dollars, also MS had built many operating systems before, yet vista still had and has bugs.

Is the "new software" as broken as the "new math"? Just wondering...

And fwiw, the first piece of software I used was Moonlander on a TTY terminal on an IBM 360 mainframe.

I got the age thing from the new math joke. I've been reading through the complete Peanuts series in which it appeared prominently. And Gasoline Alley, which I'm now addicted to!

We test as much as possible with a combination of beta, stress testing, automated stress testing, and then open beta. But nothing perfectly simulates the actual release of the game. We are constantly working to improve it, and have the first update going to the testbed server this week.

Thanks for the update Rusty. I'm a fan, don't be confused, but the scratchy bits draw blood still.
Just venting I guess. Glad you folks have thick skins. *sends a virtual keg of Demerara to show no hard feelings*
