Actually its true in the other nations too. It is more visible in Britland because the numbers swing so dramaticly at times. I can think of plenty of other nations that won or lost as much because of the 'diplomacy' behind the scenes as they did by the leadership in the PB. That is not something that I ever focused on but some have said I did ok in it. Plenty of people disagreed with me on all sorts of issues but we never let it affect the RvR and PB's. That is where you have to get before you will have consistent RvR success.


There is much to be said for the saying "Moderation in all things". It is a fairly nice predictor of success here.

Considering you guys actually helped power the Brits to victory, and you had them (for the most part) showing up in the right boats and working well together.

Lot's of stuff happens behind the scenes, and many "winning" teams are a step away from fracturing if not for the great work keeping things together. In Spain, Peres was that rare breed who was effective in both being a pb leader and a diplomat*
