Perma Flag First and Second Rates

The bigest problem is when they removed them being able to be built they weren't nurfed so nothing can realy stand up to them broad side to broad side. I don't mind them still being around, though would be nice to know they could be limited in PB's though. Let them grind with them all they want.

Of course FLS made the worst possible choice on this one Permaflagging them wouldnt make it more or less of the worst possible choice. Well other than pissing off the PVE types that didnt sail them in PvP to begin with.

Sure, if FLS is going to let me trade it in for full value all the materials, bundles, and clicky cost, plus the weeks of grinding. I hve no problem with blocking them from PBs, but perma flagging will make them good for nothing but running Orleans dailies. Now I remember why I blocked you in Roberts nation chat, nothing you ever say makes sense.

What's the problem with 1st/2nd rates.
Do you see many in PBs ? I don't think so.

The players who even bring them to PBs won't have them for long time.
On the other side, do you know the time and money people spent to build them ?

At least out of respect for the time they spent let them do what they want with. Sooner or later they will be sunk or kept in the museum.

it is an unfair advantage to the new players coming to the game knowing they will never be able to sail one. they should be perma flagged for Naval officers this way everyone has a chance to eliminate them once and for all from the game.

This is a very very very bad idea in my opinion. As much as I hate the grindmonkies and the carebears I don't like the idea of perma flagging them. Too many players would quit because of it. They should make the PvE only, yeah, I agree on that point. I also think that they will be purchasable in the F2P shop once it goes live.


For me this thread looks like some angry typing from a rat who can't grind in his crossteamed 1st rate anymore and therefor wants to make it equal for everybody.

I always favored when they initially made the decision:

1.) Have people come forth for a full refund. (Some say that would cause inflation, but let's be honest, the doubloon system is so borked, who cares?)

2.) Remove insurance on all existing rate boats.

3.) Give returning players a week long grace period to decide what to do with the first and second rates, the clock starting from the minute they logged in.

4.) Knowing the obvious warnings, but still choosing to keep them, flag them.

Yet since FLS didn't do that, flagging them now out of the blue and offering nothing back for it would just be a horrible idea.

Rats have their first rates flagged because they capped them in pvp. While we know you just capped them off your alt, it "technically" was pvp. To add risk in stealing someone's boat, you become a marked person with it.
