Its true, latest devlog confirms that on the 14th of Dec., Learning Skills go bye bye.

What I find most fascinating is the frankness with which they talk in their devlogs. They produce the empirical evidence behind their reasoning, and if something is going to **** a player off, they say so upfront, but also say "deal with it, we have to do it."

Ohh they only are removing the Learning Skill Skills.
I though they were changing the Skill system and how Skills are learned in EVE... You got me all excited there for a second....ahh well..boring games will remain boring I guess.

For example, mod stacking. There has never, to my knowledge, been a coherent response from FLS about this. I heard a GM say in-game that it was fixed, then saw a red-name post that it will be fixed in the F2P patch. For a bug this big and widely known, I hope there's a devlog posted when it's actually fixed. EVE does that. When there's some big bug that causes problems, they post about it. This is the bug. This is how it worked. This is how we fixed it. This is what happened to the people we caught doing it. And when they want to change something in the game, EVE devs don't spend too much time hand-wringing about it. This is our change. It will be good for the game whether you believe it or not. Go play it. If there's anything the Suggestion forum reveals, it's that a lot of gamers don't want any change of any sort. Even the most innocuous improvement will have at least someone who thinks it's a waste of time and shouldn't be done. If FLS went by the suggestion forum, literally nothing in this game would change, ever (and when it comes to large systems like RvR, nothing really has changed since the game came out). When a good change comes, you lose customers. It should be expected. If it's a good change, though, you'll gain more than you lost and the game can advance. POTBS has been too stagnant for too long. |

Well there's also issues like resistance. EVERYONE, and I mean everyone, recognizes resistance is f**ked. judging by Aegir's thread alone, a good majority of people think it should be done away with.
FLS' problem stems from a lack of real foresight, and I hate to say it, developers who have no clue how their game plays in the real world. I'm convinced few if any have any real knowledge of their pvp system, their protesting that some of the devs engage in pvp notwithstanding. |

I just don't think they play that much with group PvP, or least not enough to realize that some mechanics are very borked. |

And to those bashing Eve, well if you couldn't hang in Eve...that speaks volumes about your talent. I always considered POTBS - Eve Ultra-lite.
