Default Make 'Love Interest' First Mate

It would be nice if your Grand Turk house were really a house where you could at least display some of your spoils if not have some storage and ship space. We should always be able to port back to Grand Turk like one of our ships or even be able to keep a ship there in port. It should be a real port with a real store (with hero's discount) and AH, etc.

All ships should have their own bridge and deck that can be visited anytime without boarding another ship.

The best part would be having your 'Love Interest' as a real companion who could be leveled and trained in a way like another 3 spots below General fittings with 'First Mate Skills.' Every time you are in AvCom or visit the deck/bridge, they are there.

This is sort of 2 requests in 1. The first is an easy one as you should have your love interest available as a commission in the Treasure Aisle to use during various PvE-based encounters (both avcom and shipcom)

The second one about expanding Grand Turk into something more full blown might be worth getting more player thoughts on, to see what they'd like to see before I pass this along.

I know alot of folks have mention this allso. Pretty much as it stand now once you finish the two mission strings that bring you there you have no other reason to return. I would like to have a ship storage there allso instead of just the capital. I know it won't mean much for the rats cause it's right next to there capital, but it would give every one a more central PvP place to have some of your supplies.

Though the options should all seem end game effects and not something that can be bought early. Which is why it should be restricted to those that have finished the missions strings.

Even though I have yet to test out the commision officers, might do that today while leveling up a char sicne they did the missions that gives you some for free. This sounds like a good neat way to hangle it so that it can be done. Maybe not make it a Treasure Island buy though so this gives the none F2P folks a way to get the items without haveing to pay real money, since they did take the time to work through all these missions. MoT/V trade in maybe for them or anouther thing you can add to CoC trade in, but the person to pay out is only in Grand Turk so you have to do the mission strings and finish to unlock.

I thought your ingame achievements were already displayed at your house in Grand Turk?

I think Grand Turk as an actual port with Harbormaster etc has been suggested before and shot down as too difficult to implement. At its core, its a mission instance where depending on where you are in the chain, you see different people on the street. I think this could be achieved, but it would take some clever programming having different people seeing different things. Personally I like the idea of actually being able to dock a ship there as in casual play it can take a few evenings to complete the whole thing. After the mission, the only reason to return is that you can buy consumables including bronze shot from Ishmael.

Yes, it would be nice to have a place to hang/store trophies. I think this has also been suggested. Like all those neat mission trophies/items from lower levels that you have no real use for, or being able to hang captured custom flags from PvP combat on the walls.

There is a big difference between the love interest being first mate, and being a commission.

First Mate implies that they sail on your ship, adding them as another visual officer on deck wouldn't be too hard IMO. Adding them to Avcom instances bumps it up in complexity and then you have to ask if they would be involved in any boarding action. IMO they should be staying on your ship as 2nd in command in any boarding actions or shore based avcom missions. What they should not be is another ship entirely.

Making Grand Turk into a port, instead of just an instance, wouldn't be a bad idea.

I'm all for the second idea, but wtf is with taking the first idea of having your companion always handy in avcom and turning it into "That's a great idea to be put into Treasure Isle!" It would really be nice to be able to at least have ONE companion we don't have to pony up cash for. Especially if they are just av-com. I really like the idea of being able to level up a mate as well.

I sure hope the future of the suggestion box is not just a place to get ideas for Treasure Isle.

It's not, it's just because your love interest is one we have specifically put in the Treasure Aisle, which is why I said it
