Can we get a "New Content" survey going to see what the player base wants down the road? I feel like many people would have rather seen game development in areas other than society tools and fishing. I know many people would have rather seen pvp changes, next chapter of the supernatural line and epic mission quests and Some new ship models before the release of fishing and society tools.

Seriously? FLS knows what is best for this game and it doesn't not involve our opinion. They have a master plan and the game is now months if not years along in the process. Our opinion doesn't matter about new features. The concrete result of this fact is this thread itself. There has not been one positive comment about this new fishing feature but we will still see it implemented.

Why will we still see it even though so may of us loud mouths on the forum object to it? You hit it on the nose earlier in this thread:

"We have all been there – dillydallying while dailies reset, going AFK while accumulating labor, meeting up with mates for fleeting, or just soaking in the scenery… generally standing around on the docks for whatever reason."

These type of players are the ones FLS wants above all else ingame. They view them as the most valuable subset of their ingame population and are endeavoring to maximize their interests by catering to them.

Among those of you that have posted negatively in this thread answer these questions:

When is the last time you waited around to grind fleets? When is the last time you waited around for dailies to reset? When is the last time you waited around to accumulate labor? When is the last time you waited around to soak up the scenery?

If you answered "I can't remember" to any of the above questions then you can rest assured that this devlog was NOT directed at you.
