Gallant Naval Frigate not working as intended?

So I do get the Gallant refit and paid 5 Magistrates Mark of Favor for the refit since they removed marks of victory from the Garrison Commander missions.....

Take her to sea and to my suprise I fire a broadside on an enemy ship at 300 yars and see, 6's and 8 in the damage window......get a little closer at 200 yards and see 11's in the damage window.

Go point Blank and still only 11's in the damage window.....I use my specials focus fire and Thundering Broadside 2 and the damage actually went down???

Is the Gallant bugged?

Rating on the ship is: Top deck 10X7lbs @ 27 damage each and Gundeck 26X15lbs @ 35 damage each....I have not seen this damage yet.

if you are asking if I put ammo on the ship, then yes, I am using heavy round shots player made and have over 10000 rounds on board

try loading any shot that isn't round firing off a volley and then reloading round.

oh I have used bar shot and star shot as well as grape shot and back to heavy round shot...been using the ship for 3 days now....probably going to go back to the Falcon, as it seems to be working.

Just wondering why the Gallant is doing less damage

I have no problems with my Gallant. That said since the recent patch a few days ago a few society members complained about the Defiant doing gimped damage all of a sudden, but relogging the game made their issue go away.

Submit a bug report on it.

Well we found out what was causing the issue...it was the powders.

When using the powders to increase damage it cut the damage to 1/3 normal. When using no powders, I had full damage. We tested this all day sunday on the Gallant, the Defiant and the Postillian...all had the same effect. The damage powders is working in reverse.

You mean Course-Grained Powder is applying a negative effect instead of a positive one? That's funny....

Thank god I mainly only use fine-grained or pre-measured.
