Flaming Pie is a community that's been around since 2007. A number of people in our core group have been gaming together for even longer, and they pulled together under the Pie banner in order to play the PotBS beta. We continued to play the game during its first year, after which we seeked out greener pastures. Now we're back to reclaim our foothold in the Caribbean.

We're a mature bunch, some of which come from a hardcore past in WoW. Since then most of us grew up though, with all the added RL commitments (families/careers/etc.). Therefore we've taken a more laid back approach to gaming for a while now, and it's been fun.

To give a bit more detail about us from a more personal and logistical standpoint. We're a group of fellow gamers who range anywhere from the low 20's to mid 40's roughly in age, so actual age really isn't an issue of consideration for us, as maturity is more of an individually determined issue rather than one of age. Collectively between us all as individuals, there's not a major top-tier MMO out there that someone in our crew hasn't played/experienced, and many of us older 'grumpy old men' have many years' worth of gaming experience dating back to the old Commodore 64 days and even earlier.

Organisational management is one of our many strong points, as we bring the experience from our professional careers to the game. At the same time, we don't take ourselves too seriously and there are no rigid ranks, superiority nor big egos in our group. Our members play for the fun and enjoyment of whatever we play together, although still serious in our dedication to the game and objectives therein. We will be known for being a friendly and educated group that will stand its ground when needed, protect others who have helped us, and take out those who stand in our way. We keep an eye on the big picture, never put ourselves before our mates, and always look beyond our own individual interest.

Successful new members will embrace and display this spirit of cooperation. Still, we respect and recognize the unique background that each individual brings to our group. We are proud to have managed building a mature community, where ignorance is rescued, but idiocy is not tolerated.

Has reformed and ready to help the nation (brits) again.

We are members of the original Company and have decide to embrace the game once again. We are currently recruiting any levels from newbs to 50s to help the society grow.

We are getting the feel of the game once again by fleeting with captains from other societies so we get known and also new players so we can help them on the voyage from low levels to level 50. We are looking to involve ourselves in every aspect of the game from fleeting---- RVR.

INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR: Kilkenny Cat's Used Ships will buy any and all Captured Ship Deeds at 80% Market value as determined by the current listed Global Caribbean 30 Day Average (GCA) on an ad hoc basis. If the GCA for a ship is listed as none, the buy price shall be anywhere from 87-21367db as determined by a formula based partially on the Ship Combat Level, until such a time when a GCA should appear as determined by market forces. Cash on the barrelhead, no questions asked, no commitment, no refunds, no credit, no membership required. Transactions can be executed by private appointment, or by public Listing on at any Auction House free from British control.

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES: Must be free of lice, scurvy, or social disease, and able to enunciate "NO REFUNDS" and "NO CREDIT" clearly, well groomed. self-starter, able to work unsupervised, fresh breath a plus, Irish Catholics, prostitutes and enemies of King George welcome. Must be 18 or over, pleasant, charming, and honest. No Experience necessary, will train.

Starting Salary 1000db/day+personal Society Warehouse on Cat Island for business use, profit sharing (1% of estimated company Gross value, paid monthly), and 10% discount on ship deeds from available stock.

Starting Customer Service Representatives are expected to meet a minimum weekly quota of 7200db either in cash deposit to the Society coffers, or in kind via Captured Ship Deeds as valued by the same terms as for an Independent Contractor, or in kind via Hulks, MoV's, and/or Ship Provisioning at a cash equivalent value as determined by the GCA. Cash can be transferred directly via the Society interface, goods can be transferred by the Society Warehouse provided for this purpose. Salaries can be collected daily via the Society Interface. Failure to meet the weekly quota will result in a 1 week probationary status to recover the shortfall plus a 20% Late Penalty, in addition to the normal weekly quota. Failure to meet obligations during the probationary period may result in dismissal, but the probationary period may be extended or waived based on the outcome of a written appeal addressed to Micheal Caomhanach via in-game mail. Daily salaries or Monthly Profit Sharing payments that remain uncollected due to negligence of the employee will be considered forfeited to the Society Coffer, and will not be paid retroactively. Employees may at any time voluntarily release themselves from their contract by leaving the Society regardless of probationary status; a Letter of Resignation addressed to Micheal Caomhanach via in game mail is requested, but not required.

LES VIEUX AMIS! (The old friends)

Basically I formed this society with the idea that with all the changes coming up, we might be seeing lots of people coming back to the game, and finding themselves in empty societies...The idea is to unite all of those lonely people

We focus on RvR, really, we have people who do PvP, PvE and Econ. We are an english speaking society, though of course that really means were very international and doesn't mean we exclude francophones, so long as they speak english.

Currently we have around 7 active members, which isn't an awful lot, but I've already had word from a couple more old friends that are coming back, so the numbers might soon rise.

We don't close our doors to new players either, and if you are interested in joining, just send out a shout in Nation chat.
