Fragnemts of an Engineering Manual...

Is there any way to get the 'Draft Advanced Structure' recipes other than random drops? I assumed that you could buy the books at level 30 in San Juan - but I guess the books just allowed the use of the advanced recipes (makes sense).

Somebody in game mentioned he got one from a quest... What quests offer these?

I'm pretty sure that none of them do but the freetrader career quests give a book that gives more advanced recipes. (fine wine/cheese and bronze shot)

they're a fairly rare drop so you're best off searching the ah.

All of the "Fragments of an Engineering Manual..." are rare drops. The recipies contained in them can only be gained through this way... well mostly.

Whenever you build a structure that has advanced recipes it usually gives you 1 random advanced recipe. So I guess in theory you could keep building and tearing down Master Draughtsman until you got them all.

If I were to constantly buy these manuals up off the AH and destroy them....What kind of piracy would you call that?

The profitable kind.. I already have all my Recipies and tend to put the books up at a high price.

Information Warfare.

On the one hand your putting alot of db into the pockets of someone, these manuals are usually expensive on the AH, but on the other hand your keeping the recipes limited which may be more profitable for you in the long run if you have them.

I guess the 2 people in-game that got them from a quest must have been mistaken, I didnt catch their names so I cant ask them what quest it was.
