Angry Spanish Flag? Of course not

If you look the map inside the game, you will see the shield of Spanish ports are represented by this colors:

Can you tell me where you find your historical data? because this Colors are NOT from any Spanish Historical Flag....At least from 1701-?

So..... i cant understand.... if you dont want to look in a Historial database, you only have to search "Historic Spanish Flag" on Google and you will find a lot of websites, including Wikipedia, with all Spanish flags.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Spanish_flags

Really i cant understand....

Because this flag you represent is "possibly" about 1500-1701....

http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/es1506.html

Anyway if this flag was used or not, nots your game based in 1720?

Which is very intersting considering they have more accurate flags on the port's flagpoles and ships...

Agreed, because the burgundy flag is the real flag in 1720. So i dont know why not use burgundy on shields too...

same goes for the french flag, it should be white with 3x fleurs de lys and not blue. Blue was the earlier version of it, during middle ages...
But well...

Nope.

Under the Bourbon dynasty in the 17th and 18th centuries, Spanish flags were generally white and bore versions of the coat of arms that included the Pillars of Hercules with its motto proclaiming “Plus ultra” (“More beyond”) to reflect the discoveries by Spanish explorers.

King Charles III decided that Spain should have a flag that was clearly distinguishable from those of other countries. From among the proposals submitted to him he chose unequal horizontal stripes of red-yellow-red with the national arms on the yellow near the hoist.

Introduced in 1785, it has continued ever since to be the “core flag” of Spain.
