I'd like the ability to "package" multiple items to be withdrawn for the warehouse. For instance I create a package called Miguel's PvP pack. In the package I add consumables, outfitting (perms and generals), and ship deed(s). I'd like to have the option of allow member to retrieve the packages in a few ways.
a. Weekly allowance i.e. no more that x number of packages per week. b. Purchase them from the Society i.e. charge them x,xxx, xxx dbs to withdraw the package. Funds go to the Society Bank. c. By allowance with a charge of x,xxx, xxx dbs to withdraw the package d. Withdraw only by the specified society member. e. By society role. |

Been messing around with soc warehouses on testbed.
So, here are my thoughts on a few changes that are needed/would improve them... 1: Allow soc warehouses to be build in regional markets. Many, if not most, socs are based in their nations Capital, so not being able to build the warehouses in Capitals rather reduces their attractiveness. 2: Add another permission level to warehouses, "Leader". This gives access to a section of the warehouse that can only be used by roles with "Leader", allowing soc leadership to store valuables that they may not want all members to be able to access, ie expensive ships, while retaining the ability for members to use the warehouses to trade eco to each other. 3: Add a record of deposits/withdrawals to the soc history. Because if withdrawals are not tracked then things will get stolen. |

Valid point. Even without the looting of warehouses as a reason for tracking, it provides a resource for society leaders to monitor who is taking and who is giving. And it makes for a public record that lets all society members see what is going on, so they can be sure that there is no undue favoritism. |

Great to see them in game, although I agree with a lot of the comments about fixing stuff as well. Can't hurt to finish some story lines or arcs. I love the idea, and have been petitioning for them since I started the first time. Great idea and just having them helps the game a lot. Don't mind the whiners, no matter what gets done they wont all be pleased.

When the Society Warehouses are available on the Live servers, they will be 2000 Burning Sea Points (1600 for Captain's Club members).

Majestic -- Above statement sure sounds like two different prices, one for CC members and one for others. So, no, you don't have to pay real money for them.

Of course, once the society warehouse rules are firmed up, there may be a trickle of players drifting back to sample the new setup, but enough ... ??? I hope that soon after they are introduced, and people have a chance to test them for real, and society leaders are able to see what kinds of multiple sections they need to promote their guilds as well as safeguard their treasures, FLS will hold a brief "sale" on warehouse deeds (y'know, one of those "one-time-only-special-offers") to enable smaller societies to establish at least one port where they have what they need. |
