Default Worth coming back?

Geeze its been so long.. I was never a major player in this game or even very good, but so much history.

Started out on the Kid sever, remember my 1st pb in a cerberus lol. At that time captain crunch and co were trying to call the shots. Sphere SS built the 1st 1st rate. Much bragging on the forums. At about the same time 3rd rates were being seen in the red. I met some really great people, and some not so great. Ill never forget hearing facieous lamenting his deployment to Bagrham afb afghanastan, and who remembers lil john redfern? He was a good guy despite all the flack he got. And who remebers awacs? Jonathan Latimer? Another stellar person I met from this game, along with Paulie, Dirk, Duncan and yes even Nomad plus more I either wish I had never met or just plain forgot.

I could right so much more, but just wanted to enquire if it was worth coming back I seem to remember a kinda break in passion from this game, about the time Quenta decided he was going to cross team and flip ports for the spanish so they couldnt flip french ports.

Anyway hope all are well

Jon Coffin

Some of those players still play, at least the last few ones you named.

But no, I'd stay out. Game has about 40 players left who aren't completly afraid of the red and about 10 who really go out to pew. In so far as dead servers exist, Antigua is one (and it's hardly better on Roberts).

This is how Alej spends most his time^^^

I'd say come back and enjoy the Pew. We've probably just come through one of the most competitive maps in...years maybe. 24v24 non stop in 2 way RVR.

Also, expecting a player influx with the return of the 1st rates (new ones). Good time to get in.

Good to see ya.

2 way RvR isn't exactly my definition of a "competitive map".

Then again, we don't exactly share the same play style.

What you call "play style" includes hoping from nation to nation too ?

I don't blame him. If you want to spend the maximum amount of your play time actually pvping that is probably the best way to do it..

I don't get much time to play any games these days so the thought of spending my free time waiting for a group to form or blockading/patrolling is not very appealing to me.

The game is still fun though if you can stand the pace

I believe he is talking about balanced nations for RvR purposes. You see its something us players must do ourselves (if we want that, do we?). It's always been a big probelm in this game becasue players stick together and roll with their homies which denies any competition for the most part. I've bit the bullet on both servers and it's been pretty difficult. Rolling to Roberts France was easy-mode for sure but we started from scratch, I think there was one player named Ubort or something that refused to quit, and we brought in 10-15 vet pirate players and just facerolled the Brits who had won almost all the maps (except for the pirate win) to that point.

Now here on beautiful Tiggy, I came over during the Roberts exodus on my pirate toon, not caring for map win for some time and watching this "RvR" here which has always been a joke. Spain usually had a team so stacked it wasn't even funny (although the E-epeen was quite hilarious). France can compete with them because of the low playerbase and easy-bake PB invites (that's a trademark!) but for the rest of us scumbag eco players in Britlandium we pretty much just take it on the chin every map, until the other nations quit and we can finally win a map.

I love it when Brits get competative and then sit back and watch the QQ role in from all sides, even our own. Maybe that's what they mean when they think of competions.... QQ competition is all I ever see.

Better than hoping from dock to dock.

I've spent a little over a year playing nothing but one character, as everybody (including that Grim you seem to be so fond of) crossteamed to their heart's desire.

You'll allow me, I'm sure, to crossteam for one map.

First of all I never hop from dock to dock, secondly I only have one toon and has been french since i started and lastly I'm in no position to dictate to anyone how to play. But I believe i'm "allowed" to think of a certain way about players that do hop from nation to nation; especially on a day to day basis.

Regards
