Most clubbers are using level 50 alts to club, they don't need a low level alts to fight with. This change actually helps the lower level but what would really help the lower levels would be if repairs were linked to ship level/size too. Level 50s in low level ships using sailmasters, admirals and first rate mast braces to get an easy avcom kill remains a problem.

It annoys me that partaking in low level PvP as a low level is frowned upon whilst farming level 50 noobs is considered acceptable or ganking 2v1 and rolling around in Hercules sleeks is lorded.

Personally I love low level PvP and get really frustrated with the "PvP police" who pass judgement. Even worse are the level 50s that club in the name of preventing others from enjoying the game the way they want to play it.

Good news but... 1/2 rates are the thing that will revive the game if anything can, not stremlining fittings.

I`m putting myself in the camp of the mostly happy this time.

Small black outfittings market has been a no go for me although I love making newbies happy. It was just too many items with too slow a turnover to bother. Time is going to show if the turnover increase per item offsets the loot drops invasion. I also like the idea of less hauling because of the lower-tier recipes getting a go.

And when I was a newbie myself I actually would not buy anything black below the maximum tier because of that stupid money drain of having to scuttle old fits and change for new ones all the time.

I`m going to look for trouble by stating that the extra firepower of the 4 year old player comes from his experience instead of outfittings as both his char and that of the 4 days old player can have equal fittings if they are of the same level.
I also think that the stats being substantially larger for small and medium fittings compared to the large and huge ones can be substantiated as well as the new player is going to be happy for every extra percent that keeps him afloat.
He is also going to be more happy for the fact that his small ship has some bonuses in survival compared with larger ones. I really enjoyed roaming the red with my halifax mastercraft as a lowbie and leaving lvl 50 gankers far behind in the dead water of my ship.
The drawback however is the advantage lvl 50s in Hermes are going to keep over other 50s. Still this has been there before the patch anyway and might just get better with the new ship strengths in the equation.
The thing that falls out of this equation however is giving above lvl 15s advantage over below lvl 15s and is the thing that feels a bit strange for me in this patch. Was the reason of leaving the Logistics of Small Ships recipes untouched really that important? Ok maybe the good thing I can think of this is keeping lowbies out of PvP untill they have reached 15 and got some skill tree and experience on them.

Simplification of the whole outfittings market might mean the margins decreasing as well as the competition is going to have easier time getting in. So together with the price decrease due to recipe change it might make starting PvPers more happy by upping their buying power this way.

My wish at this point is leaving the patch as it is for a while (hopefully there are no bugs inside) and focusing on the other promises that have to be fulfilled this year. Thank you FLS for what you have done here. Keep on the good work.

when i first started reading this log, I'll admit it scared me, but I was glad to see it wasn't bad. Sounds good. Will make things less confusing.

At least they should be! Let me know if they're not
Why not eliminate them from the drops altogether? Increase the traditional loot (goblets, crosses, plaques) to compensate.

Players should be going to the Auction-houses and/or to their own structures to obtain player made out-fittings and ammo, not to Santa Clara. Anything that takes away from the player-made economy is a bad thing.

I read this when it was posted on the first page , but this is my first visit to this thread. They say that you read something 10 times and you will see somethig you didnt see the fist time you read it.

Having said that, I am un-clear what is to happen to the fittings that get converted. It appears they are not going to be stackable. What will happen to the warehouse they are stored in if 250 stacks of fittings get converted and turn into 2500 fittings? If this has already been answered then I apoligize for asking again. And when will this take place, maybe they need to be spread out so they wont be destroyed. I am embarrased to say I prolly have 6 warehouses full of all size fittings. I would really hate for them to be destroyed. Most of them are coll/huge but I do have a warehouse full of small/med /lrg fittings. STOP LAUGHING.

I realy think when you look at the drops from fleeting that perhaps the drop rates on outfittings should be reduced by 66% ...essentialy in the game right now ONE shipbuilder can control an entire nations economy by undercutting everyone....essentially make other shipbuilders unable to sell anything..thats why we need variation such as quality....that will add minus 10% to plus 20% to any ships stats....so if a shipbuilder got a great role...he could command a price without worrying about being undercutt by the same guy over and over.

anyways i think simplyfying things was nice....

I do think u need to take it one step furthur tho... regional markets...for ships and outfittings...basicaly if u buy a ship or outfittign thats in the same region you dont have to run and get it..... Raw mats i supose still have to be hauled... the fact is you need to get the turn around time from being defeated in PvP to gettign back out there.....u have to get that down..... frankly im in favor of ships and outfittings being imedialy available anywhere in the worls... much like other games....no one wants to sail 500 miles just to pick up a boat and heavy flanked armor...BORING...

LOL LOL Sorry I can't stop laughing..6 warehouses full? LoL this could be a serious issue...heh heh. You might move those warehouses to an enemy port. So when they do explode you can take out your enemy and clean out your warehouses at the same. It will be like a 17th century nuke!
