Best MMO to date

Hey my name is Captn Baldric Cronk,
I have recently taken up Potbs after all but given up on online gaming.
It seemed to me that all MMO style games were extremely dumbed down and had a lack of in game comunity.
I've probably done about 6hours of game time so far and in that I have already had more fun than in other games I have played. In my first couple hours I did a few tutorial missions and then went out to sea to have a bit of fun, I jumped in on a battle and help a random sailor out against some pirates, I actualy got thanked for this and then we went and hunted some more.

Second day, the forums told me to join a society so I yelled out wallah I'm now in a society and they are helping me get a rope business up and running which will help the society and have also been extremely generouse in answer my probably stupid questions.

Lastly I have read a few posts on this forum where people have complained about how un friendly this game is to "noobs", I disagree completely, yes there is a steep out ing curve but with that it makes the cumunity that much better, because every one helps every one.
I can't wait to have myself good Eco and get all geared up for fleet battles.

Whilst the game is not without issues I agree this is the best MMO out there by far. I absolutely love it.

Just a quick update, played last night and had a great time doing it. Got into my first fleet granted I was just getting leveled but just the fact that my soc asked me to join just for that purpose and also once I reached lvl they helped me out with a ship.
Can't wait to rig up my dolphin and van horne

Will toss in my 2-cents worth here... As a person who's played since launch in this game, I must agree. I love this game, I love the PVP in it, and something keeps drawing me back, even after almost 4 years. Is it perfect? No, but nothing really is in today's MMO world, is it? I will say this, it's the ONLY game that has held my attention this long. Granted I've taken a breather here and there, but I think that's just normal with the amount some of us play this wonderful game.

So, in summary... Great game. And at least FLS tries. More than I can say for some game developers, especially in recent times.

I haven't had this much fun in a game since Ultima Online second age back in 99 before and slightly after it went Trammel. There's a few things variety wise I wish they would implement but they definitely have a solid foundation to what I believe could be the next to perfect MMO. I hope it just gets more attention from the rest of the MMO market as I feel its been needlessly overlooked which is really sad. With that said game on and welcome!
