It's going to be interesting to see how the top-tier ships (for heavy slugfest duties) will look in terms of price and function.

But why aren't the Centurion and Poseidon considered "true rates"?

Im interested in how insurance is going to be balanced with the removal of LSBs.

When you got the whole construction cost of a 1st or 2nd rate back when it sank, these were the only ships in PBs, and once you had one, you always had one. LSBs and their lack of insurance was one of the reasons these ships started to make less of an appearance and did play a controlling factor, the degree of this factor can be debated.

I hope that something similar is implemented into the new construction recipes because if people can sink 1st and 2nds and HMCs and get close to all their invested doubloons back, then these things can quickly become the 'Unless you have a first rate or HMC, dont come to the PB' problem.

I love that LSB are being removed! I also love that you're using the 1719 establishment as a basis for classing ships.

What will happen to the existing LSB in game?

Please... I am begging you. Don't do this... You're following a lead set by SOE with their customer relations. And it has not worked for them. If you dumb this game down, it will be the final nail in the coffin. I have spoken to many of my friends in-game, and this change is not going to work. What you will have is all your veteran players leaving and you'll have a temporary insurgence of 9-year-olds... They of course will grow bored with it after about 6-8 months and return to WOW.

I'm begging you FLS... Don't do this.

PS: 9-year-olds don't have Credit Cards or money...

Bonfire on the docks at Port Royal. Or they may set up an exchange where you can trade in LSBs and be refunded part of their original ingredients.

The gold to click off LSB's and the labour time within them is "time spent grinding". As is the insurance return.

You remove LSB's, you remove "time spent grinding" and "insurance return" meaning you make boats dirt cheap with no insurance.

This is obviously not the intention. Furthermore, LSB's are not a problem. Please stop doing stupid things and go fix the OS system and Boarding combat.

I'm still waiting on tested updating, but from patch notes looks to me that you will have to grind / fleet more for the new ships to get the Fairfax rare drop items, and they mention in notes that recipes for other ships that had LSbs will be updated in a later patch to compensate for their removal.

Please listen, this is the worst thing you've tried to do to the game, stop and listen to what people are saying.
