I posted indepth threads and still believe in these suggestions in hopes to bring the game "alive" in the OS. Which translates into players sailing more instead of standing on the docks:
1.Day night cycle (OS vis range reduced, the day or night cycle translates into the battle instance) 2.OS storms/weather elemints (players hiding in fog banks OS vis range reduced, if sailing through a storm and you hit or get hit slight damage from the OS storm would translate into the battle instance, more importantly the caribbean would actually feel alive appose to the 24/7 sunshine need I say more) 3.Shallow waters near certain areas/ports. (This would be indicated by light shaded area on the L or Local map, also a icon would pop up under your skill bar much like "run them down, or give them the slip". Small + Med ships has no effect to shallows, Large Huge Collasals would be penilized in accell and turn if they get in or hit something in shallow waters. This would give a purpose for those dozens of lowby non lvl 50 ships I never sail. All those suggestions can be tweeked and not majorly game changing but would give this game life, a pulse if you will. Right now its plane and I have been looking at the same lighting and shading on my ships for years now, I would like to see the sun and the stars and lime green shallows that this world really deserves. Thank you, I would like to see more things like this added. Instead of adjusting percentages and buffing and nurfing things. Add content and spruce up the game world!

I agree with this also you can add lightning to add extra damage also while your sailing at night you can turn of and off the deck lamps
maybe even ring the ships bell! at will |

I like it. With the incremental hits to performance per the size hull ship being used, which I would assume make colossal ships almost impossible or at least not enjoyable to sail in the shallow water.

yea... lowbies won't have to be chase by huge type ships or venger .... Heavy boat will have to learn where they sailing or risk hitting a reef and taking damage...
Big ship more water you need.... Rates need deep water or they going to run aground. Other then that they should had new port.... Ad bermuda, some more south america ports plus more north america east coast ports and africa and EU? plus a new nation let see America, Dutch, keep spanish,france british plus add german, russian and some other like japan or china. be nice if map was expanded to the world....... simple idea merge two servers into one and add in more room of map wiht open more world to conquest would be nice...
