If this PB had been for Nassau or Riding Rocks or some other port that nobody cares about, the British tactics probably would have been different. While in the Ready Room we decided that our goal was to keep an important eco port from being raided (and destroying 4.2 mil in infrastructure/upgrades), and that dictated a "boring" strategy.
You can call it cowardly, but we knew when we popped out of the fort to enter the town that some would get sunk (12 did, half our fleet). The first guy out was sunk while his loading screen was still up.

i see people fighting to prevent their economic losses to a port that needs that economy to be there...

In that respect, i see a nation choosing a tactic that suits them and is suitable against the defender.

If this is sitting in a port and then coming out to fight where they are best... that is their fullest right to do so... is there a game rule that... prevents this...? if so... point me to that please...

The battle takes 2 hours, they could very well waited for you guys to rush into town with a group and then sunk all the rest on the sea... there you have your sea battle... you would also have complained...

If the battle was in the OS... i am sure there been complaints as well....

In any respect... i don't see this topic starters intentions to start a discussion to what is right and wrong in their tactic... THEY chose... wich is their right... do you not think...?

I would be amused to see them using this tactic even more... if that is what wins them the battle... then they should... tactic is tactic...

No tactic is a cowards game... a tactic is a tactic... if you disagree with a tactic... well that is your choice... and you as a commander will not use that tactic... i personally do not care what you play... you are trying to get your right with trolling and childish remarks ... in a topic... that was not supposed for this kind of discussions, i assume...

If i was them... i'd even use this as a standard tactic just because you guys hate it... that way it seems they work on your patience... yes... patience is mostly a battle winner...

The port, wich is a DNH, i see some one posted a 4milion loss if they had it... well... there is your reason they used a more important, winning strategy... instead of a brainless opensea battle...

I am surely pleased to see different strategy's for different importances of ports.... honestly...

In any case... If you have a problem with these tactics... i advise you to note it and tell yourself not to use it when you are commanding... however... why post your arguments here for that... you are not going to change their minds with your trolling... even so... you might even inspire commanders for your own nation to do the same...

as i am sure they are seeing the same advantage in it now as you see the disadvantage in it...
