We will be publishing build 1.22.42.0 to our live servers on Tuesday, February 9th, between 1:30am and 5:00am Pacific / 9:30am – 1:00pm GMT / 20:30 – midnight AEDT.

This is a bug-fix patch that fixes a crash that could occur when you had a chat message bound to a toolbar button.

We apologize any inconvenience caused by this outage.

Community Spotlight: Remus

In line with our efforts to recognize those members of our community who stand out for their contributions, we’ve chosen to recognize Remus with a community spotlight feature.

You have likely seen Remus’ posts around the forums. Like many forum members, you’ve also probably learned a few things from those posts. Maybe you know of his ship and economy spreadsheets, which provide so many of us with easy answers to complicated questions.

We can’t help but notice contributions like these. To recognize Remus we’ve decided to immortalize him in-game (more on this in future release notes). Remus also consented to an interview, so we could learn more about his experiences with Pirates of the Burning Sea™.

Outage Tonight: build 1.22.40.1

We will be publishing build 1.22.40.1 to our live servers on Tuesday, February 2nd, between 1:30am and 6:00am Pacific*.

The two major features in 1.22 are Active Nation Selection and National Player Faction.

Shortly after 1.22 is deployed you will be able to transfer your characters from Blackbeard, Defiant and Rackham to Antigua and Roberts. Click here for more information.
