Outage Tonight: build 1.23.35.0

We will be publishing build 1.23.35.0 to our live servers on Wednesday, March 10th, between 1:30am and 5:00am Pacific*. All servers will be closed during the patch deployment. Defiant, Blackbeard and Rackham will no longer be available on the server select screen once 1.23 is live.

All unused character transfer credits will be removed during the 1.23 deployment. Any characters that remain on Defiant, Blackbeard and Rackham will then be given one credit so that they can transfer to Antigua or Roberts. If you want to use your transfer credits before the patch is deployed, please visit our transfer page.

1.23 contains a new Port Battle map called Vulcan’s Caldera. It also features some changes to mission rewards, some combat tuning, and the return of invalid ships.

Testbed Event on Friday!

Join us this Friday on Testbed for our second event to test the new 1.23 port battle map: Vulcan’s Caldera! Participants will receive the title Some Like It Hot on a Live character of their choice. If you participated in this event on Sunday then you will earn the title on a second character.

The test will take place on Friday, February 26th at 2:30pm Pacific (10:30pm GMT / 9:30am AEDT Saturday).

Here’s what we need you to do to take part:

1. Update Testbed to the latest version, and then be online at the time mentioned above, on a British or Pirate character. If you already have a level 50 character from the right nation on TB, please be sure his skills, outfitting etc are ready and working before the event.
2. Gather in the starting town for your nation (Jenny Bay or Marsh Harbor).
3. GMs will be on hand to give out money (and levels if you need them). They will also add contention points to make you eligible for the port battle. You must speak to the GM in your town to be eligible for the PB.
4. Once you’re in the battle, watch for instructions from FLS staff.
5. Tell us about your experience by visiting the Testbed forum!

We will be handing out money and levels before the event starts, so come a little early if you only have a low level character on Testbed, or if you need to prep your character.
