Hoist a Glass, Me Hearties!

As you can no doubt tell by the rising tide of great reviews and 21-gun salutes, Pirates of the Burning Sea is now one month old! To celebrate this milestone and thank the thousands of players who have already set sail with Flying Lab, we’ve dispatched the Noble Order of Toastmistresses to the four national capitals.
By complete coincidence, the order is also celebrating one month in the Burning Sea and after Friday’s maintenance window, they’ll be handing out a special mission that can earn you a unique piece of avatar outfitting you won’t be able to find anywhere else: a Celebration Mask suitable for all your fancy balls, dignified coronations, or boarding parties.
The Order
The Noble Order of Toastmistresses is a relatively new organization dedicated to public speaking and social refinement. Members can be found in most any nation in Europe and most of the colonies, but they’ve only just entered the treacherous waters of the Burning Sea. Wouldn’t you want to celebrate surviving for a month in such a circumstance? Four Toastmistresses will each offer the same mission to players of their nation. In the British capital Port Royal look for the charming Miss Penelope Askham. Spanish Toastmistress Novia Vela calls San Juan home, while French players can raise a toast to Mlle. Carole Dubray in Pointe-à-Pitre. Even the piratical Brethren of the Coast can count a few Toastmistresses among them, including Desdemona Fabritzius of Tortuga.
The Mission
To earn your Celebration Mask, seek out one the Toastmistress based in your national capital. She’ll tell you what five items she needs to make the celebration a rousing success, and then the hunt is on! Look for a crate containing party favors to appear in your inventory. Since every complimentary party favor crate contains five of the same item—five delicious cakes, for example—you can trade with your friends who are on the same scavenger hunt to ensure you all get a full set. Once you have a party horn, a set of champagne glasses, a tin of facepaint, a delicious cake, and a celebratory pinwheel, bring them to your nation’s Toastmistress to collect… and then get ready to party like it’s 1699!
The Challenge
The Toastmistresses don’t just want you to join them in the celebration, they want you to show off your mask! Send us your best screenshots featuring your mask-wearing avatar via an upcoming forum thread and we’ll post our favorites on the Pirates of the Burning Sea website.
Watch the forums for details!
Enjoy, won’t you?
